Pacific Asset Management has hired Titan Square Mile’s Scott Spencer as investment director within its multi-asset team.
In his new role, Spencer will be a member of the investment committee overseeing the firm’s MPS portfolios and will serve as portfolio manager for Pacific’s IPX solutions for financial advisers.
The IPX infrastructure for model portfolio services was launched in October last year.
Spencer will report to Pacific’s CIO Will Bartleet.

Prior to joining Pacific, Spencer served as an investment director at Titan Square Mile, where he oversaw the firm’s MPS and advisory portfolio service. He was also a member of its asset allocation committee.
Before his two years spent at Titan Square Mile, Spencer worked alongside Kelly Prior and Rob Burdett on the multi-manager team at Columbia Threadneedle (previously part of BMO Asset Management). He has also held senior roles at Aberdeen Asset Management, Credit Suisse and Berkeley Fund Managers.
Commenting on the appointment, Pacific’s CIO Bartleet said: “Scott’s experience across portfolio construction, asset allocation and adviser solutions makes him an excellent addition to the team. His appointment further strengthens our ability to support advisers as we continue to grow our MPS and IPX solutions business.”
Spencer added: “Throughout my career I’ve been passionate about helping businesses deliver better investment outcomes for their clients, so the opportunity to join a company that shares that philosophy was hugely appealing.
“I’m excited to be joining such a talented team and look forward to working closely with our adviser partners as we continue to develop and enhance the solutions we provide.”
