Brooks Macdonald senior investment director Robert Seifert is leaving the firm after 10 years to become a portfolio manager at James Hambro & Partners (JH&P).
Seifert will be supporting the professional adviser community in his new role at the London-based wealth manager.
Before joining Brooks Macdonald, he was a private client investment manager at Cheviot and headed up the firm’s wealth management proposition to sportsmen.
It comes after JH&P appointed Aberdeen Standard Capital’s Ed Binks for its Leeds office in March at the same time as hiring Helen Rynhoud as head of marketing from C Hoare & Co.
Seifert leaving Brooks Macdonald follows the recent departure of sales director Simon Pinner to Aubrey Capital. Pinner joined Aubrey to strengthen its distribution capabilities across its European and global funds.
Brooks Macdonald also lost chief executive Caroline Connellan to Standard Life Aberdeen in May. She was replaced by deputy group CEO and CEO of the international business Andrew Shepherd on 1 July.
