Seifert, who was a private client investment manager at Cheviot and headed up the firm’s wealth management proposition to sportsmen, joins BMAM’s London office as an investment manager.

The role will see Seifert, who previously also worked at UBS and Laing & Cruickshank, run private client portfolios and develop business within the private client and IFA sectors. He will also be tasked with helping build Brooks Macdonald’s own sports proposition and will join the firm’s UK direct equities research team.

“Our investment management team continues to grow as a result of continued support from existing IFA introducers and we are delighted that new IFAs are also introducing their clients to us,” said Nick Holmes, joint managing director at Brooks Macdonald.

“These are very exciting times as IFAs increasingly move towards outsourcing investment management to specialist firms like ours”.

The hire brings the total number of investment managers at Brooks Macdonald to 40; the company says it has a further 14 trainee investment managers in its graduate system.
