Lauren Bishop moves across to the sales team having previously headed up the firm’s adviser support team. Ryan Alexander, who currently looks after new business, is to take on her old job.
Nick Giles joins the team from Lighthouse Financial Advice, and he has been working as an IFA for 13 years.
The pair is under the stewardship of head of sales Ray Hart, who leads a team of seven and works with L&G and Cofunds who also distribute Suffolk Life SIPPs.
Hart said: “Advisers are demanding increased support, especially for the more complex cases such as commercial property. Being able to develop relationships with knowledgeable people who they know remains very important to them. When we talk about the pressures of legislative and regulatory change in the pension market, that of course affects advisers too.”
Managing director David Hobbs left the firm last month to take on the MD of operational services role at Cofunds. Replacement Will Self is due to start next week, at which point more changes could be on the horizon.
A spokesperson for the firm said: “Advisers have very different needs post-RDR, many of which were unexpected. We don’t have any plans for further expansion at the moment, but this is subject to change. We anticipate making more announcements once Will is at the helm.”
