Lead portfolio manager Sven Borho (pictured) has decided to step down. He has also communicated his intention to end his time as a director of the company in due course.

Co-portfolio manager Trevor Polischuk has become lead portfolio manager, and Geoff Hsu has been appointed as co-portfolio manager.

The changes are effective immediately.

Hsu is a general partner at OrbiMed and joined the firm in 2002. He has been a portfolio manager since 2005 and helps lead the public equity team’s biotech and emerging markets efforts.

The investment trust said in a statement its board would like to thank Borho for the ‘significant contribution’ he has made over many years.

Worldwide Healthcare Trust is up 19% over the past year for a market cap of £1.35bn.
