Vermeer Partners has added Arabella Henman to its partnership as business development director.
Henman (pictured) will be responsible for the firm’s relationships with professional intermediaries.
She has more than 20 years’ experience working with private clients and their advisers. Before joining Vermeer, Henman was a client director at Capital Generation Partners.
Henman has also worked at Close Brothers Asset Management, Dominion Corporate Services, PQR Financial Planning and Coutts.
Vermeer Partners chief executive Simon Melling said: “Arabella brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the unique requirements of professional advisers and their clients. As we continue to grow our business, we are delighted that she has joined us to develop these important relationships further.”
In March, Melling told Portfolio Adviser team members must be interested in Vermeer’s “collegiate investment process” which refers to fostering direct relationships between investment managers and clients, negating the need for relationship managers.
“We are looking for that unusual animal, someone who is slightly entrepreneurial, interested in investments and in client relationships,” he said.
