Effective immediately, financial advisers can access Tilney’s Managed Portfolio Service through the newly launched James Hay Managed Portfolio Panel.

The panel is live with immediate effect, and encompasses seven investment managers – including Morningstar Investment Management Europe, Seven Investment Management and Smith & Williamson.

Providing access to more than 3,400 funds, the panel carries annual fees of between 0.2% and 0.4% depending on the selected manager, a 0.18% platform charge on an initial £500,000 investment that drops to 0.05% on assets worth more than £1m, alongside the underlying fund manager costs.

The nine-strong MPS suite ranges includes mandates ranging from ‘defensive’ to ‘maximum growth’ with an AMC of 0.3%, and in May was added to the Standard Life Wrap DFM Investment Hub.

This followed on from the appointment of Mark Coles to Tilney’s Birmingham branch, and is part of a wider push in the intermediaries space, as Miles Robinson, head of Tilney for Intermediaries, explained.

He said: “Working with the UK Financial Adviser market is key to our business strategy and we understand the challenges they face in a post-RDR world with on-going regulatory change and commercial pressures.

“We want to be the go to DFM that provides a range of cost effective investment solutions for advisers that can be accessed in different ways to suit their business needs.”
