After a "challenging" 2011 the head of the global credit team, Stephen Drew, said he was prompted to assess the structure and skills in the team and take necessary actions to best position it for a continuation of such a market environment.

As a result, Mehrad Noorani, portfolio manager, and Chris Currington, chief operating officer of the global credit team will be leaving Thames River.

Subject to regulatory approval Golledge will become co-manager of the global credit team’s funds alongside Stephen Drew.

Golledge was previously head of credit trading at UBS and has more than 20 years proprietary trading experience at various investment banks.

His appointment follows the recent hire of Jennifer James, as head of credit research for the global credit team, from Gruss Asset Management.
