St. James’s Place has appointed Joe Wiggins as director of investment research from 12 September.
He will be responsible for all research carried out within SJP’s investment proposition and head up a team of experienced researchers.
Wiggins has nearly 20 years of experience in investment management. Most recently, he worked as chief investment officer at consultant Fundhouse.

He has also held a number of other senior roles in the industry including an earlier spell at SJP as director of liquid markets, and as head of portfolio management at Abrdn. Wiggins has also penned a book on investing titled The Intelligent Fund Investor.
This the third senior appointment at SJP this year following the hires of Hetal Mehta as head of economic research and LGIM’s Justin Onuekwusi as CIO from October.
