Maisonneuve, global head of equities, is to exit the firm before the end of the year to take up a similar position at Pimco.

Schroders said it will replace Maisonneuve with Peter Harrison, while Simon Webber, her deputy, will become lead portfolio manager on the global and international equities team.

Announcing the changes, John Troiano, deputy head of distribution and global head of institutional business at Schroders, said: “We have a strong global and international equities team at Schroders, which is well resourced.”

Harrison added that global and international equities is a “priority” growth area, and Schroders hoped to develop it further.
In a separate statement, Pimco said it had hired Maisonneuve for the role of managing director, portfolio manager and global head of equities.

She will be based in Pimco’s London office and begin work in January 2014.

Pimco’s equity offering spans a range of strategies and styles, including the StocksPLUS suite. Speaking about the appointment, the investment house’s chief executive officer Said Mohamed El-Erian said that Maisonneuve was a “proven” equity investor with a 25-year track record of delivering successfully for clients.
