Leigh Stephens will be developing the IFG-owned boutique’s discretionary fund management (DFM) proposition across new and existing markets, while looking forward to help “lead and build” on the group’s momentum in the discretionary space.

Having spent six years at Close Brothers AM, he has also worked at managing director level and in the DFM committees for Deutsche Bank Private Wealth and HSBC Private Bank Investments, as well as holding divisional director positions at Investec Wealth and Brewin Dolphin.

Stephens holds the CISI diploma, is a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and a chartered wealth manager.

He said: “I am pleased to have had the opportunity to join the Saunderson House discretionary management service team at such an exciting time in its growth and development.

“I am looking forward to helping lead and build on this momentum with my experience of the discretionary investment management arena for Saunderson House clients and advisers, whilst utilising the firm’s well-established investment process which already has a very credible track record.”
