RQI Investors, a quant-based subsidiary of First Sentier Group, has launched a new fund in order to make its Global Value strategy available to UK investors.
The RQI Global fund, which is a UK-based UCITS OEIC vehicle, adopts a systematic approach to finding contrarian, value companies across the globe. The fund will aim to have a higher yield and lower value than the market cap index. Its quantitative strategy aims to remove any behavioural bias or key person risk.
The launch comes one year after RQI Investors introduced an Irish UCITS version of its Global Value strategy. The strategy itself was first established in 2008 and now, collectively, manages more than £2.9bn.

The latest fund will be run by RQI’s portfolio managers Dr. Joanna Nash, Dr. Ron Guido, Dr. Wang Chun Wei and Dr. David Walsh, all of whom have been at the firm for six years.
Commenting on the launch, Andrew Francis, CEO at RQI Investors, said: “We’re pleased to expand our UK offering through the launch of the RQI Global fund and provide greater access to our highly successful Global Value strategy.
“We have strong conviction in our strategy and approach which is underpinned by a 17-year track record and a strong team experienced in global equities.
“As we introduce the fund to new investors, we believe it is well positioned to navigate US-led and emerging markets concentration and deliver strong investment outcomes for investors.”
