Former Brewin Dolphin investment manager John Moore has been named as the newest addition to Quilter Cheviot’s Edinburgh office, the firm has announced.

In his new role, Moore will be responsible for communicating Quilter’s investment capabilities to a wider audience, as well as supporting advisers and high-net-worth clients in Scotland.

Moore will report to Richard Taylor, head of the Edinburgh office at Quilter Cheviot.

Taylor added: “Bringing someone of John’s calibre and reputation is a real coup for us, and we are excited to see what he can achieve here.

“He brings exceptional depth of investment experience and a strong understanding of the needs of advisers and high-net-worth clients, built over an extensive career in our industry.”

Moore has spent more than three decades in discretionary investment management, including a 33-year career in various roles at RBC Brewin Dolphin. Most recently, he served as a divisional director, working with financial advisers and high-net-worth clients.

Commenting on the appointment, Moore said: “The requirements from high-net-worth clients have evolved significantly in recent years as the external environment has shifted.

“Quilter Cheviot has been a leading company in developing new and interesting propositions to respond to that demand and has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality investment management and financial planning services in harmony.”
