The Quilter Cheviot team has added five new hires to its business development as part of its attempt to enhance support for advisers and clients, Portfolio Adviser can confirm.
First, former Rathbones sales executives Julian Stapleton and Chris Ashton have joined the Quilter Cheviot team as business development managers for the south, reporting to Helen Morrissey, head of south.
In their new roles, Stapleton and Ashton will be responsible for supporting relationships with advisers and private clients, while also positioning the firm’s services to new clients.
Stapleton spent 17 years with Rathbones Group in a variety of roles, having worked in the sales team since 2015, before joining Quilter earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Ashton announced his departure from Rathbones earlier this month on a LinkedIn post. He worked on the team for eight years, having previously served at firms such as The Ingenious Group and MetLife.
David Butler (pictured), head of business development at Quilter Cheviot, said: “Julian and Chris bring a real depth of experience when it comes to communicating and supporting advisers, and they will be real assets not only to us but for those who recommend our products and services too.”
Quilter Cheviot has also announced three further appointments to bolster the business development team – Benjamin Johnson joins in the south as a business development executive, while Harry Forde and Aiden Campbell join as business development executives to the south.
Butler added: “Bringing in a number of business development executives too means we can extend the support we offer and ensure we are well placed to give advisers the information and reassurance they need.”
