Mats Arthursson, Suneet Kumar and James Gatehouse will form a new investment management team focusing on private clients, bringing the total number of London-based investment managers to 69.

The team will be led by Arthursson who joins the firm in October from Arbuthnot Latham where he was a director of investment management. He will report to Andrew McGlone, managing director of Quilter Cheviot’s London investment management business.

Kumar also joins the team next month from Seven Investment Management where he spent four years as an investment relationship manager.

Gatehouse joined the firm on 11 September from stockbroking and investment management firm Fiske where he was a senior investment manager.

McGlone said: “I’m delighted to welcome Mats, Suneet and James to our London team and the wider business. The appointment of this experienced trio demonstrates our ongoing commitment to bringing in the best investment management talent in the market and we hope to add to this new team in the months ahead.”

Quilter Cheviot’s Bristol office has also expanded its investment management team with the hire of Nikolas Ramsey. Ramsey previously spent 13 years at Charles Stanley where he performed discretionary investment manager and chartered wealth manager roles.
