Premier Miton fund manager Rob James (pictured) has announced his retirement.

He was previously co-manager of the £195.5m Premier Miton Financials Capital Securities fund.

A spokesperson for Premier Miton confirmed that head of fixed income Lloyd Harris will continue to run the strategy, alongside fund manager Simon Prior.

He joined Premier Miton in 2020 after almost eight years at Old Mutual Global Investors, which became Merian Global Investors in 2018. James has also held analyst roles at Aviva Investors, Insight Investment, and was a director at Baring Asset Management.
