Polar Capital bounces back with AUM rise

Polar Capital has said it is approaching the coming year “with confidence” after reporting a £2bn increase in assets under management.

The latest AuM update comes just three months before Polar’s CEO Tim Woolley is due to step down, with Gavin Rochussen, former CEO of J O Hambro Capital Management set to take on the role in July with Woolley moving into a non-executive position.

In January, Polar’s chairman Tom Bartlem, credited Woolley with leading the firm to its £8.4bn AuM at the end of 2016.
