Peter Hewitt, manager of the £148m CT Global Managed Portfolio Trust, will retire from fund management in October.
He has managed the investment trust since its launch in April 2008. Hewitt joined Columbia Threadneedle through the acquisition of BMO GAM (EMEA) in 2021, having previously been with BMO since 1999. In January, Hewitt was elected to the AIC’s board of directors.
Trust chair David Warnock said: “The board thanks Peter for his years of service to shareholders and wishes him a long and happy retirement when the time comes and looks forward to working with Adam and Paul on the evolution of the portfolios in the best interests of all shareholders.”
Columbia Threadneedle multi-asset portfolio managers Adam Norris and Paul Green will take over management of the trust from June. The pair currently run a number of income and global growth multi-asset, multi-manager portfolios with assets totalling c.£1bn.
Alongside Hewitt, Norris and Green also joined the firm through the BMO GAM acquisition.
