O’Connor joined the firm in January 2013, spending the last year working with both institutional and retail clients.
His role is integral to the asset allocation and investment management process, alongside product development and client servicing.
Prior to joining Henderson, O’Connor gained almost 20 years of experience in the industry, including investment research, trading and investment consultancy, as well as fund management.
Together with McQuaker, he will be responsible for developing the team’s franchises in institutional and retail markets around the world, in line with Henderson’s strategy of developing its multi-asset capability as a strong, distinct element of Henderson’s business.
“Our intention is to build up our institutional business to match that of our retail offering,” McQuaker commented.
The multi-asset team consists of thirteen people and manages £6bn in assets, as of 31st December 2013.
