Fletcher formed London Wall Partners late last year, alongside CIO Jeremy Beckwith, formerly of Kleinwort Benson, and chief operating officer and chief financial officer Mark Johnston, formerly a director in KPMG’s financial services practice.

Lovell and Fletcher worked together for 18 years at IFA Saunderson House, where they shared responsibility for the firm’s risk management. Lovell’s experience also covers strategy and compliance.

London Wall Partners utilises an eight-strong investment team, including Ingrid Kirby, formerly of Hermes Fund Managers, while Albemarle Street Partners, a new venture formed by Dan Kemp, Clive Hale and Sam Liddle, helps with fund selection.

“The team tests, debates and rationalises its own as well as external sources of economic, fund and product research to develop and maintain appropriate asset allocation and diversification strategies for clients,” said Fletcher.

“We believe that the extent and depth of our experience, over a number of economic cycles, will be hugely beneficial in anticipating, identifying and avoiding potential ‘black holes’ in preserving clients’ capital, as well as sourcing opportunities to grow it.”

A profile of London Wall Partners features in the February edition of Portfolio Adviser, out now.
