In the six months since the last review, the FE Research team considered several market factors in determining the latest fund additions.
These included the global challenges facing investors and markets on the geopolitical scale, despite positive sentiment. Such headwinds have reinforced the need for diversification, according to the researchers.
“The FE Select 100 represents what we view to be the best-in-class of the funds universe and is the result of a combination of methodical quantitative screens and rigorous qualitative research from our team of experienced funds analysts,” Rob Gleeson, Head of FE Research, said.
“The lack of clear direction in markets means that overall turnover is subdued relative to previous rebalancings,” he added.
On this basis, the eight funds received the stamp of approval and were given a ‘buy’ rating.
