Morningstar has promoted Monika Calay, its director of passive strategies research, to director of UK manager research.
In the newly-created role, Calay will lead the firm’s UK active and passive manager research teams, in order to help meet clients’ needs and “optimise the existing talent within the teams”.
Calay first joined Morningstar in 2015 as a research analyst, but left in 2018 to join Vanguard as senior research analyst. She was promoted to portfolio consultant during her time there, then returned to the firm in 2020. Prior to Morningstar, Calay spent three years as a product specialist at Bloomberg. She has also worked at Morgan Stanley.
