Will Rosier and Eustace Santa Barbara have been appointed as the new co-managers of the IFSL Marlborough Multi-Cap Growth fund from 1 September.

They replace long-standing manager Richard Hallett, who is stepping down for unspecified reasons.

Rosier has been working as an analyst in the team managing Marlborough’s UK equity funds for more than 10 years. For the past five years he has been working closely with Hallett.

Santa Barbara has more than 20 years’ investment experience, and already co-manages IFSL Marlborough Special Situations, IFSL Marlborough UK Micro-Cap Growth and IFSL Marlborough Nano-Cap Growth.

The firm said the pair’s close working relationship with Hallett has ensured a ‘smooth and seamless transition’.

The £107m fund holds between 30 and 55 companies chosen from across the market-cap spectrum for their strong earnings growth potential over three to five years.

It sits in the Investment Association’s UK All Companies sector and has an ongoing charge of 0.81%.

Rosier said: “It’s very much business as usual. Eustace and I are both committed to the fund’s well-established investment process, which focuses on identifying quality UK companies with outstanding global growth potential driven by long-term structural trends.

“This is an exciting time to be a UK equity fund manager, and that’s certainly true for our fund. Our multi-cap approach enables us to hunt for leading companies across the market-cap spectrum.

“We’re continuing to identify what we believe to be exceptional businesses that are attractively valued relative both to historical norms and to comparable companies in other markets. In our view, this presents a compelling long-term opportunity.”
