LGT adds manager to bespoke model portfolio team

LGT Wealth Management has appointed William James as a portfolio manager within its intermediary investment services team.

He joins from Square Mile Investment Consulting & Research where he was an investment manager, and will work on LGT’s bespoke model portfolio service.

At Square Mile, James was part of a team managing £2.7bn of client assets and acted as joint manager on it range of sustainable models. He was also a member of the tactical asset allocation committee with a particular focus on emerging markets, Japan and Asia Pacific. Prior to this he was a client relationship manager for four years at Natixis Investment Managers.

LGT described its bespoke model portfolios service as ‘a core part of the business for over a decade’. It enables financial advisers to partner with LGT Wealth Management to provide a discretionary investment service to their clients, across a range of objectives and risk appetites. It currently has more than £3bn in assets.
