LGIM names new CIO and America business CEO

|

The role became available as head of investment Aaron Meder is heading across the Atlantic to become chief executive of Legal & General Investment Management America.

Both men will report into LGIM CEO Mark Zinkula.

Meder will ‘transition into the role over the next few months’ and be based in Chicago. He first joined LGIM America in 2010. After playing a ‘pivotal role’ in the expansion of that business he moved to the London office in 2013 and became head of investment in 2015.

Eser, who has been at LGIM since 2006 and is currently co-head of global fixed income, will step up to the CIO role upon Meder’s departure.

Head of euro credit Colin Reedie, will replace Eser as co-head of global fixed income, alongside John Bender.

Zinkula said: “Aaron’s strategic vision will help drive the next phase of growth in the US business, as it expands into new markets and further develops its capabilities. Anton brings a wealth of leadership and investment experience to the role of CIO. His deep knowledge of our business, clients and the industry will ensure we are well placed for the increasingly competitive industry in which we operate.”
