Simpson will be based in London and report to James Elliot, global co-chief investment officer of multi asset solutions. He will lead the multi asset CPM teams in London and Hong Kong which communicate investment strategy, performance and market outlook to existing and potential clients.

Simpson has more than 30 years of industry experience including nine years in the hedge fund industry. He also held leadership roles at Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs, where he founded and co-headed the Pension & Insurance Services Group in London.

“The demand for investment solutions is growing rapidly – more and more investors are seeking products that fit their investment objectives, whether they are income focused, providing a source of diversification, or looking for more tailored products which help to achieve their investment goals. Simpson’s addition to the team supports this growth,” said a spokesperson for JP Morgan.

“Simpson will be focused on client service, and will play a consultative role with investors looking for solutions. Client service is becoming more important as JPMAM is increasingly engaging with clients more comprehensively to address their investment challenges,” the spokesperson added.
