Janus Henderson has announced two new hires to its team, Shilpee Raina, formerly of JPMorgan Asset Management and Helen Jewell, formerly of BlackRock
Raina joins as the lead portfolio manager of one of the firm’s flagship funds, the Janus Henderson Forty and the Transformational Growth ETF, joining current portfolio manager Brian Recht. She is set to join on 1 January.
Previously, she served as co-portfolio manager on the JPMorgan Large Cap Core Equity strategy within the US equity group as well as a research analyst, having joined the firm in 2005.
Former portfolio manager on these funds, Nick Schommer, will depart the firm after 13 years, with a spokesperson thanking him for his years of service.
Meanwhile, Jewell is set to join as the firm’s head of EMEA and Asia Pacific equities on 1 December, responsible for equity portfolio management and research teams and will join the Janus Henderson Executive Committee.
Before this, she served as international CIO of fundamental equities at BlackRock, while prior to that, she was EMEA deputy director of research at Goldman Sachs.
She replaces Lucas Klein, who is set to retire from the industry after close to 30 years in financial services.

Both Jewell and Raina will work closely with their predecessors to ensure a seamless transition, according to the firm.
