Investec Wealth & Investment has replaced its retiring Belfast office head with Leigh Yeaman, who has been an investment director at the firm for five years.
Samuel Brown left in September after 31 years with the business and 45 years in the investment industry.
Yeaman (pictured) will take over a team of 20, including 15 in investment management, financial planning and business development and five support staff.
She said she wanted to reinforce Investec Wealth & Investment’s reputation in the city. “Our Belfast office has over 100 years of heritage in Northern Ireland and deep relationships with clients and professional advisers that have lasted generations.”

She also highlighted the benefits of an inclusive workplace.
“I believe that greater diversity, and diversity of thought, leads to deeper and richer conversations and ultimately better decision making.”
Before joining Investec in 2015, she worked at Cunningham Coates Stockbrokers and Quilter. Prior to 1999, she worked in Scotland at Barclays Stockbrokers and Brewin Dolphin predecessor Stirling Hendry.
Yeaman will continue to work with her clients, which include high net worth private clients, trusts, pension schemes, and corporate entities.
Belfast is one of 15 Investec Wealth & Investment offices across the United Kingdom. The wealth manager had £32bn as of March 2020.
