The HSBC Global Strategy Funds offering comprises the Global Strategy Cautious Portfolio, the Global Strategy Balanced Portfolio and the Global Strategy Dynamic Portfolio.
Each offers a different risk level and is invested across a number of asset classes and regions using an active asset allocation approach.
The ongoing charges are between 0.17% and 0.20% with a focus on using passive investment vehicles to keep cost down.
The funds will be available from 16th October through all major platforms, including Fidelity’s FundsNetwork, Old Mutual Wealth and CoFunds.
To coincide with the launch, HSBC had an independent survey conducted which found 92% of IFAs questioned said the ability to match a portfolio to client risk profiles was an important feature in a multi-asset fund, 74% said they looked at multi-asset funds for their ability to offer lower fees, while 88% said multi-asset solutions allowed them to simplify the financial advice process for their clients.
“Our multi-asset fund range fund range uses an active asset allocation process to identify what we believe are each fund’s optimal exposures to equities, bonds and property securities, across both developed and emerging markets,” said Phil Reid, head of wholesale UK.
“This process is re-run at least every three months,” he added. “Shorter term views can be reflected in the portfolios through tactical asset class weight adjustments. Portfolio holdings are monitored on a daily basis. We believe that the range fits well with clients’ requirements for simple cost-effective products that provide risk-focused asset allocation across global markets.”
