HSBC Global Asset Management has made four hires to the Philip Poole-led global macro and investment strategy team.

Based in London is senior economist Julien Seetharamdoo, previously of Coutts, and Rabia Bhopal, who joined from Standard & Poor’s as an economist and investment strategist.

Added to the team in Hong Kong are two further economists/investment strategists, Herve Lievore, a senior hire from Axa Investment Managers, and Renee Chien from Macquarie Captial Securities.

The team also consists of Adam Olive and Paras Patel, both of whom are based in London.

The role of the macro and investment strategy function is to provide economic and strategic research support for HSBC’s investment teams. It is also responsible for providing timely and informative market views to clients, ranging from daily market updates to market alerts and its longer investment quarterly reports.
