Guinness Global Investors has appointed Premier Miton’s Will James (pictured) as a co-portfolio manager on the Guinness European Equity Income strategy.
He will manage the fund alongside current manager Nick Edwards, who has been at its helm since 2020.
James has spent 14 years running European equity income funds, including launching and managing the Standard Life Investments Europe ex-UK Equity Income fund for 11 years.
He was most recently a manager on the Premier Miton European Equity Income fund.
The £8.4m Guinness European Equity Income fund was launched in 2013 for European investors.
The strategy has returned 27.1% over the last three years, compared to the IA Europe ex-UK sector average’s return of 16.3%, placing it in the top quartile of performers according to FE Fundinfo data.
In 2022, the firm opened a UK-domiciled vehicle to allow access for UK-based investors.
