Brad Crombie, who was appointed co-head of fixed income in October 2012, will now take on full responsibility for the business.

Crombie’s appointment followed his review of the fixed income business in the early part of the year. The review identified best investment practices, which have since been integrated across the teams.

In addition to his existing staffing, investment team and budget responsibilities, he will now assume Griffith’s client relations and product development duties.

Crombie joined Aberdeen as a graduate in 2000, and then rejoined in February 2012 following a period at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he was Head of Corporate Credit and High Yield Research for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The announcement comes on the day Aberdeen announced its interim results, and an AUM increase of 10% on the first two months of 2013.
