Franklin Templeton has unveiled the newest addition to its active ETF range with the Franklin Putnam Focused US Research UCITS ETF.
The new product from Templeton’s subsidiary, Putnam Investments, will provide investors with a concentrated portfolio of the team’s highest conviction US equity ideas.
It will invest in 30-45 stocks from the broader US research strategy, with risk management sleeve handled by Matt LaPlant to mitigate factor or style tilts. The ETF will be managed by Kate Lakin, Matt LaPlant, Jackie Cavanaugh, Robert Grey and Will Rives.
Lakin said: “By focusing on our strongest ideas, we aim to generate excess returns while using disciplined risk management to limit factor or style exposures.”
Harry Reeves, head of UK wholesale at Franklin Templeton, added: “With US equities continuing to play a central role in investor portfolios, we believe there is a compelling opportunity for strategies that look beyond index exposure and focus on identifying individual companies with strong long-term potential.”
The strategy will officially list on the London Stock Exchange effective tomorrow (15 October 2026).
