Goldman Sachs Asset Management has hired Brett Olson as the newly-created head of international ETFs, according to an announcement from the firm earlier this morning.
In this new role, Olson will work with other teams within Goldman Sachs to expand the UCITS strategy beyond EMEA to Asia and Latin America. He will report to Brendan McCarthy, global head of ETF distribution and capital markets.
Goldman Sachs ETF platform currently includes 68 strategies, representing $58bn in assets as of the end of 2025, with 13 new funds launched in EMEA last year.
Olson has almost a decade of prior experience running ETFs. At BlackRock, he served as managing director of the iShares Fixed Income ETF business, focusing primarily on EMEA.
