Foresight hires IFM Investors’ Symonds as global head of real assets

Duncan Symonds is also a partner at the firm and will sit on the executive committee

Real assets investment manager Foresight Group has hired Duncan Symonds as partner and global head of real assets.

Symonds, who joins from IFM Investors, will lead the FTSE 250-listed company’s international real assets business, which currently runs £10.9bn in assets under management across renewable energy, infrastructure and natural asset portfolios. He will also sit on the firm’s executive committee.

During his time at IFM Investors, Symonds also served as non-executive director on the board of Anglian Water Services, M6toll, GlasfaserPlus and Global Infraco. He has also held leadership roles on UK infrastructure projects including the London Bridge Station redevelopment and Crossrail.
