First State Investments has appointed Kerry Baronet to the global product function it created late last year.
Baronet (pictured) was appointed to the pooled fund management team when the global product function was launched in November. She will now head it up, First State confirmed in a press release.
The pooled fund management team is responsible for developing a profitable product suite across global markets.
Based in London, she was previously head of product for Emea at First State, responsible for the UK and Irish pooled fund platforms sold across Europe and Asia.
The asset manager has also appointed Hendrie Koster to lead the investment product research and assurance team from Sydney. He was previously head of product and strategy for Australia at Nikko Asset Management.
First State’s global head of product, Clare Wood, said: “With these senior resources now in place, the Global Product function is well-equipped to take broader responsibility for connecting market opportunity with investment capability, ensuring we remain competitive in a complex global market.”
