Fidelity International has installed M&G’s Sam Christopher as head of proposition, strategy and growth of its Fundsnetwork platform.

Christopher (pictured) arrived at Fidelity’s adviser platform business last month to replace Danny Wynn after his promotion to head of UK and Asia personal investing and advisory operations.

She has over 20 years’ experience in the industry working for Aegon, Legal & General and Cofunds and most recently was M&G’s head of wealth proposition since March 2018.

Fidelity Fundsnetwork head of UK platform advisory business Jackie Boylan said Christopher would be utilising her “extensive experience” to lead on the creation of new platform tools and enhancing the group’s decumulation solutions.

“We’re confident Sam’s expertise will help us achieve these goals and identify even further opportunities ahead.”

Commenting on her appointment Christopher said: “Fidelity Fundsnetwork is a hugely ambitious business, and I’m excited to be joining at this stage in its journey.

“Platforms must not only evolve and adapt to advisers’ changing needs but anticipate the challenges and opportunities which lie ahead. Fidelity Fundsnetwork is doing just this, through its commitment to developing new and innovative solutions, and over the coming months I will be working on a number of projects to extend our offering to advisers.”
