Bennett has been hired as head of whole institutions, responsible for leading the firm’s UK sales for fund of funds, banks and fund buyers at financial institutions. He joins the firm from RWC Partners. Prior to this, Bennett spent 15 years at JPMorgan Asset Management where he was most recently head of UK international business. He joins the firm in September 2014.

Weisinger, appointed head of wholesale private wealth, has been a member of the firm’s wholesale distribution team for 11 years. His role is effective immediately.

Both new hires report to Rob Thorpe, head of consumer, who joined in November 2013.

“The UK wholesale market is evolving rapidly. Clients within this market have very different needs and they cannot be viewed as a holistic group. We have considered our sales and marketing approach carefully and by creating these new roles are confident that we will be even better placed to serve our wholesale clients,” Thorpe commented.

Earlier this year the company announced the re-organisation and expansion of its retail distribution team. The team is divided into two functions, one focusing on nationals, networks, life companies and platforms, and the other taking a regional approach.

Last month, F&C Investments confirmed that managers Paul Thursby and Peter Geikie-Cobb would be leaving the group, just a week after its acquisition by BMO Group completed.
