Evenlode has revealed James Knoedler has joined its team as it prepares to launch a new global equity fund.
Knoedler (pictured) joined Evenlode in April and will be co-manager on the Evenlode Global Equity fund, alongside Chris Elliott, that the Oxfordshire firm is planning to launch “within the next year or so”, according to a press release. Evenlode launched its Global Income fund in 2017, but the new fund will have less of a dividends focus.
Knoedler joins from Independent Franchise Partners, where he helped run $15bn in global and US equity funds. He has 14 years’ experience and previously worked at Newlands Investment Management and Arisaig Partners.
Elliott said Knoedler was settling into the team well since he joined in April.
“James shares our investment approach of focusing on competitively advantaged business that are capable of compounding real free cash flow over the longer-term and I look forward to working closely together on the Global Equity fund,” he said. “His expertise in global equities will enhance the research and portfolio management capabilities that underpins our well-defined investment process.”
Knoedler said he was happy to be joining a business focused on “detailed fundamental analysis, a highly collegiate approach and a long-term time horizon”.
Evenlode added Tom Weller as an innovation analyst last summer followed by two graduate trainees, Charlotte Lamb and Rob Strachan, in autumn.
