Specialist responsible and sustainable asset manager Edentree Investment Management has appointed three regional sales directors to its wholesale & financial institutions group (Fig) distribution team and hired a responsible and sustainable specialist.

Edentree said the recruitment forms part of the company’s strategy to “increase its footprint across the UK amid building momentum in responsible and sustainable investment products that has seen steadily increasing market demand”.

Joining as regional sales directors from BMO Global Asset Management are James Tomlinson and Tom Culhane.

Tomlinson will focus on building and maintaining relationships with national and regional discretionary managers, stockbrokers, and wealth managers to develop and reinforce Edentree’s market share.

He brings more than two decades’ experience in business development at firms including JP Morgan, Schroders and Muzinich&Co.

Culhane has held various distribution roles at firms such as Impax and T Rowe Price and will use his experience to support Edentree in strengthening its business across the country.

Louise Slade joins from Investec, also as a regional sales director, bringing more than 20 years’ experience in business development at firms such as HSBC, JP Morgan and UBS.

She will help the firm increase its market share by strengthening the development of the UK wholesale business within the Midlands and southwest region.

And finally, Matthew Parlour joins as responsible and sustainable specialist from Invesco Perpetual, where he led their adviser insight programme for over seven years and held various adviser sales roles prior to that, including at firms such as CCLA.

At Edentree, he will be working closely with the distribution and marketing teams to drive design and content across platforms and inform clients on responsible investing across target channels throughout the country.

Andy Clark (pictured), CEO of Edentree, said: “Our new hires bring deep knowledge and experience that will be critical to Edentree’s ongoing commitment to building ever-stronger relationships with the financial and advisory community across all parts of the UK.

“Responsible and sustainable investment solutions continue to receive unprecedented interest as investors and advisers increasingly recognise their importance in achieving their financial goals and those of their clients.

“We remain committed to developing and delivering highly innovative solutions in this space and we are delighted to welcome James, Tom, Louise, and Matt to help consolidate efforts and build on our heritage which spans more than 30 years.”
