Following an announcement made on 20 September the boards have supported the appointment and remain satified with F&C as the manager of the company.
Cosh is a director of European equities at F&C and has been co-managing the European Assets Trust since the second half of 2010, supported by the rest of the 10-strong European equity team.
Anand will remain at the firm until the end of the year before taking up his new role at Fidelity.
The £84.3m European Assets Trust was managed by Crispin Longden from December 2002 to April 2010 and has now seen two new managers in just over a year.
Over one year it is up 6.2% compared to losses of 7.4% from the benchmark and over three years it is 50.8% up, compared to 53.1% from the benchmark.
