Columbia Threadneedle Investments’ global chief investment officer William Davies has retired after 33 years at the firm, effective on 30 June 2026.
The firm said he has provided ‘distinguished service’ to the firm and its clients in that time.
William F ‘Ted’ Truscott, chief executive of Columbia Threadneedle, will act as interim global chief investment officer from 1 July until the appointment of a permanent successor.
Davies joined a Columbia Threadneedle predecessor firm in 1994 as a European equities portfolio manager.
He has held several leadership roles at the firm, including head of European equities, global head of equities, chief investment officer EMEA and, since 2022, global chief investment officer (CIO).
Truscott said: “We have a high-quality investment capability and a strong culture that drives successful investment outcomes for our clients. Our talented investment leadership team is well positioned to continue delivering the consistent investment approach that our clients expect from Columbia Threadneedle.”
