Columbia Threadneedle Investments has named two new additions to its London bond teams, and one returning appointment to its equity team.
On the fixed income side, Ciara Fitzgerald and Steve Nelson have joined the team as investment-grade portfolio manager and fixed-income client portfolio managemer, respectively.
Fitzgerald, who will report to senior portfolio manager Chris Hult, has previously worked across debt capital markets and syndication at ANZ and Deutsche Bank.
Christopher Hult, senior portfolio manager of Investment Grade Credit at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, said: “Her deep expertise in credit markets and syndication will be invaluable as we continue to enhance our investment grade capabilities for our clients.”
Meanwhile, Nelson will focus on investment-grade credit strategies and brings 15 years of experience from Janus Henderson.
Gary Smith, head of fixed income client portfolio management team EMEA at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, added that Nelson’s breadth of experience and background in client portfolio management make him an “excellent addition.”
Finally, Natasha Ebtehadj has rejoined the team. Since 2023, she had served as co-portfolio manager on the Artemis Global Select fund, with an emphasis on emerging market equities, but before that she spent 15 years at Columbia Threadneedle.
Neil Robson, head of global equities EMEA at Columbia Threadneedle, said the team was “very pleased” to see Ebtehadj return.
“Her deep knowledge of our investment platform and her broad experience across both equities and multi-asset will be invaluable to the team and our clients.”
