Close Brothers Asset Management (CBAM) has appointed Adam Finlay (pictured) as an investment manager.

Based in CBAM’s Birmingham office, Finlay will be responsible for developing and managing bespoke investment portfolio strategies to meet the objectives of high-net worth clients, including private individuals, corporates, trusts, and charities.

He joins after seven years at Investec Wealth, where he was most recently an associate investment director. Finlay started his career at West Midlands-based IFA Capelin Financial Management.

Giles Marshall, CBAM head of bespoke, said: “Adam is a highly experienced investment manager, with a proven track record of managing a range of strategies that cater to a diverse range of unique client needs.

“As we continue to build our regional presence across the UK, we are delighted to have Adam as a valuable member of the CBAM team.”

In the firm’s latest trading update, managed assets grew 3% across the six months to 31 January 2023 to £15.7bn, driven by £474m of net inflows.
