The funds, which will be managed by Insight Investments, will cover fixed income, absolute return, multi-asset and equity income and are part of the on-going partnership between the two parties. In November last year they undertook a series of mergers that saw six new funds created out of ten Insight Investment portfolios.
The retail market-focused funds include the Insight Strategic Bond Fund, managed by Adam Mossakowski with support from Peter Bentley and the fixed income team. Mossakowski will also co-manage the Insight Inflation-Linked Corporate Bond Fund with David Hooker.
Steve Waddington and Matthew Merritt will head up at the Insight Global Multi-Strategy Fund and the Global Absolute Return Fund, with assistance from the multi-asset strategy team.
Both the Insight Equity Income Booster and Insight Equity Income funds will be managed by Tim Rees, with option overlay process of the former controlled by Takis Anastassopoulos.
BNY Mellon Fund Managers has also become the authorised corporate director of Absolute Insight, now a sub-fund of BNY Mellon Managed Funds II (previously Insight Investment Funds of FundsII ICVC). The fund will continue to be managed by Insight, and the track record remains.
Scott Goodsir, BNY Mellon’s head of UK wholesale said: “The proposed new range of Insight managed funds are expected to provide investors with a best of breed offering across key investment strategies, aiming to complement BNY Mellon’s existing range of funds targeted at the UK wholesale market.”
