Aviva Investors has appointed Luciano Lilloy and Duncan Bulgin as head of sustainable equities and head of equity research, respectively.
In Lilloy’s new role as head of sustainable equities, he will further develop the firm’s sustainable range and has become a named portfolio manager on the Global Climate Equity Strategy.
In addition to these new arrivals, the firm has united its equity range under a single leadership structure, led by Nicholette MacDonald-Brown, current global head of active equities.
Lilloy spent nine years at Impax Asset Management, most recently as a portfolio manager and before that as a research analyst.
Meanwhile, Bulgin joins the firm from GAM Investments, where he served as a global equities manager since 2024. Before that, he spent 23 years at Newton Investment Management in various roles, including as portfolio manager and head of equity research.
MacDonald-Brown said: “Luciano and Duncan both bring with them vast industry experience and knowledge that will complement the existing expertise within portfolio management and research teams.”
Bulgin will replace Max Burns, the current head of equity research, who has announced a phased retirement for later this year. As part of this transition, Harsharan Mann will become co-portfolio manager of the Global Core fund, while Lilloy will take over his responsibilities on the Global Climate Equity Strategy.
“We want to thank Max Burns for his significant contribution to the Aviva Investors Equity team over the past decade and wish him all the best in retirement,” Macdonald-Brown said.
