In the newly-created role, he reports to chief executive Euan Munro. Versey will be responsible for the development and leadership of the investment solutions team.
Prior to joining, Versey was chief investment officer and managing director at Friends Life Investments. Previously, he held senior management roles at AXA and Morgan Stanley.
“As we move to implement our strategy of delivering meaningful investment outcomes with low volatility, Mark’s considerable record in delivering both strong performance and solutions for clients will be invaluable as we continue to grow,” Munro commented.
Munro took on the role of chief executive earlier this year, the industry anticipated that he will be in charge of launching a new GARS-style product.
