Ackland was previously head of UK proposition and will replace Butcher, taking on responsibility for distribution, marketing, proposition and business development of Architas’ UK funds.

Her former role has been filled by Frank Potaczek who joined the firm from Defaqto where he was senior vice president overseeing its fund and DFM products, as well as its fund ratings service.

Ackland said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to build and grow on the momentum we have in the UK market and to lead a fantastic team. Frank will be a great addition, he’s got huge experience in a number of high profile roles and is extremely well known and respected in the adviser market.

“This makes very him well suited to help us continue to develop our offering to advisers. His role will be to help us work with advisers to further diversify our business and help advisers meet the changing needs of their clients, particularly in the recently reformed retirement market. Frank’s insights, thought leadership and innovative approach will be key to the expansion of our UK products over the coming years.”

Ackland joined Architas in 2014 following roles as a sales director at Thames River, then F&C, and managed a funds marketing and research team at Friends Provident International.

Hans Georgeson, Architas’ CEO, said: “Sarah’s understanding of the UK retail and financial adviser market and experience across proposition, marketing and sales means she is the ideal candidate to continue the growth of Architas in the UK.

“We have invested significantly into our UK business to develop both our fund proposition and also our relationship with a broader range of adviser clients.

He added: “We would like to thank Cedric for his contribution to Architas over the past six years. He has been key to the expansion of our business and the development of such a strong relationship with our adviser clients. We wish him well in his new position.”
