Allspring Global Investments has hired Sophie Freemantle as its head of international product, following “significant” growth in business demand overseas.
In the newly-created role, Freemantle will develop Allspring’s international product strategy to support business growth and meet client demand. She will report to Allspring’s head of global head of product Rick Genoni.
Prior to joining the firm, Freemantle spent seven and-a-half years at Federated Hermes, most recently as its head of product development outside of the US. She has also worked as business manager at Northern Trust Corporation.

Commenting on the appointment, Genoni said: “I am delighted to have Sophie join our team. She brings deep product expertise alongside a disciplined, forward‑looking mindset focused on innovation and long‑term growth.
