Allianz Global Investors has appointed Kayvan Vahid as head of equity Europe core and value.

Based in London, Vahid will be responsible for AllianzGI’s efforts to strengthen its capabilities in the European core and value space.

He joins after spending over 20 years at UBS Asset Management, where he was most recently deputy head of global value equity and head of European mid-cap equities.

Commenting on the appointment, AllianzGI global CIO for equity Virginie Maisonneuve said: “We are pleased to add someone of Kayvan’s calibre to our equities team. He brings with him extensive knowledge and understanding of European equities and value investing and will further enhance our expertise in this area.

“Working closely with colleagues across the equities platform, I am sure Kayvan will help unlock new and exciting opportunities for our clients.”
